Liposuction Surgery – Skin Sutures and Postoperative Dressing
skin sutures
After suturing the dermis with dissolvable thread, the skin is sutured with tissue adhesive. (Photos 53, 54)

Using tissue adhesive has the advantage of allowing you to shower soon after surgery and leaving no stitch marks.
Tissue adhesive does not require any special treatment and will disappear naturally after 2-3 weeks.
Postoperative dressing
It is necessary to apply effective pressure to the surgical site.
It plays a role in preventing venous bleeding in the early stages immediately after surgery, and helps with the postoperative course by being applied for 2-4 weeks after surgery.
For 24-48 hours, place a sponge on the skin, wrap it with an elastic bandage, and then wear a compression bandage or abdominal bandage to wrap it in three layers.
Most venous bleeding can be stopped with pressure alone, so it is effective in most cases. (Photos 55, 56)

Photos 56 and 57. For 24 hours after surgery, the patient is wrapped in three layers: a sponge, a compression bandage, and a compression bandage. After 24 hours, the sponge and bandage are removed, and a compression bandage or abdominal girdle is applied.
After 24-48 hours, the sponge and elastic bandage are removed, and a compression bandage or abdominal girdle is applied over the skin or a cotton T-shirt. This is typically worn for 1-4 weeks. (Photos 58, 59)

If you press the sponge against your skin for at least 24 hours, that area will not bruise easily.
This is because the sponge has a compressive effect that holds the skin in place and stabilizes capillaries, preventing them from bursting.
